Bacterial Dip Slides

Dual function, bacterial dipslides to monitor the total number of bacteria and the (luminous) vibrio vpp. easily, quickly and cheaply.

Monitor bacterial population in the enviroment and in the animal at each culture stage. Acurate on site culture of bacteria without the need for a microbiological laboratory. slides are dipped directly into the water of ponds and hatchery-, algal-, or Artemia tanks. The transparent marine Agar allows growth of common heterotrophic bacteria, while the green TCS Agar is used for selective growth of Vibrio spp.

1:500=2ml/litre. Recirculation systems, drain down, no need to rinse

1:250=4ml/litre. Routine disinfection of pre-cleaned accommodation and surfaces, hand nets, buckets, beakers etc. Ideal for cleaning coral filter substrates, etches and disinfects.

1:125=8ml/litre Intensive housings or areas of close confinement before re-stocking in a high risk situation.
