Zooca® NutriPods are a ready-to-use, premium copepod-based feed for aquarium keepers looking to add a highly nutritious, natural food source to their feeding routine. NutriPods contain Calanus finmarchicus copepods, a naturally rich marine feed suitable for a wide range of aquarium species, including fish, shrimp, corals and other demanding marine animals. Zooca® NutriPods are made from sustainably harvested Calanus finmarchicus sourced from the pristine open waters of Norway. Each pack comes as a ready-to-use bottled feed with a consistent 60 % Calanus and 40 % brine formulation, ensuring reliable quality and nutrition. The copepods are highly digestible and provide a valuable source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, cholesterol, chitin and astaxanthin, supporting growth, condition, colour and overall vitality. Zooca® NutriPods are especially useful as a transition feed, for encouraging feeding response, and alongside dry or frozen foods to improve diet variety and uptake. For shrimp and other invertebrates, the combination of marine lipids, natural pigments and chitin makes NutriPods a particularly useful addition to a varied feeding programme. The feed is biosecure and shelf-stable, though it should be used soon after opening. Keep refrigerated.
Feeding
Zooca® NutriPods are preserved in a high-strength 150ppt brine for stability. Do not pour the brine directly into the aquarium. Before feeding, place the required amount of copepods into a fine mesh sieve, brine shrimp net or similar strainer, then rinse gently with reverse osmosis (RO) water, or with clean aquarium water if RO water is not available. Once rinsed, feed directly to the tank, target-feed with a pipette, or mix with other prepared foods. Start with small amounts and adjust according to livestock response and nutrient levels.
